For those that don't know, I'm a Business Marketing major at San Diego State University. I mention this because as a Marketing student, I love to pay attention to markets & see where there is progress analytically. I study when & where places & businesses are surging, & let me tell you, the Inland Empire is the next segment to see success in the music industry. With all love to Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Detroit & any of your favorite major areas where artists rise from & with love to any that I didn't mention, the Inland is the next up. All of the major scenes have succeeded & the world wants to hear about new areas where new artists are growing, & the Inland Empire sees the potential that comes from working with each other & rising to the top with one another. The perfect example of this is The Common Ground at The Vibe in Riverside. This is where the Inland Empire's scene comes together to build. The second best example of how the I.E. rises together is through Kidd Dryden's title track, "Forbidden Fruit" produced by Oh Gosh Leotus, whom is a producer also coming out of the Inland Empire. The Common Ground is where I've watched Kidd Dryden make a crowd rock with his fast-paced & cleverly delivered bars. Yes, bars. The Kidd can rap & he has brought you & yours a new project titled, "Forbidden Fruit".
As an outsider looking in, I have one word of advice for the Inland Empire; Build within & grow out. Bring eachother up, & branch out. This will show & prove how great the scene is. Oh, & if I can provide one more piece of advice, make sure to reach out to Kidd Dryden & work with the boy, he will make bigger & better moves than you will ever expect, just like how "Forbidden Fruit" is a bigger & better project than I even expected, & I expected a lot out of the album. Proud of you Dryden, you put together a great piece of art.
