So, you know how every product says, "This is the #1 Brand in America", "World Famous Milkshakes", & all of these other cliche's to make you buy the product? Well, these cliche's are even more popular & arguably annoying in music. Everyone has "The hottest song in *insert here* area", "The next up", "The hardest working artist in the *insert here* area". Everyone makes these claims, but, as a Marketing major, I get it, they're necessary. Anyways, what I'm getting at is that it starts to become repetitive, so when I read it, I kinda just kinda shrug it off; Admit it, you shrug it off too. Point being: When I first saw people saying that the song, "Free Spirit" by Janira, Produced by J. Street is a hit; I kinda just shrugged off the song. I figured, everyone claims a song is hot, so I just went my own way. But then I saw a flood of people tweeting about the joint, so at this point I decided to see what the hype is about. My ears have yet to be this happy in a long time. Believe the hype, Janira & J. Street have a hot one right here. Goddamn goddamn. I actually regret not listening to the song earlier. Lesson learned. The incredible artists, Janira & J. Street are out in Detroit, Michigan making real noise gravitating you & yours their way.
