Before I remotely touch on this post, I must provide my condolences, Rest in Peace, Michael Ayers, your daughter put together a great piece of art.
Hannah is a young 22-year-old independent rap artist, songwriter and producer that knows how to convey a story. With a fresh approach and her unique design of rhyme patterns; Hannah definitely creates music to feed the soul. Growing up on the south side of Chicago Hannah has evolved by letting her solace be her upbringing losing many friends due to gun violence at a young age. Her passion stems from all the deficiency and hardship in her community and surrounding cities.
Hannah has truly found her voice in her latest project “Closure”, which I must add, is quite enjoyable. The album has recently dropped for free on December 12th, 2015 & surely you want to take a listen. The title "Closure" came about because it was the first body of work she was able to put together after the passing of her father, Michael Ayers, in October 2014. She says it was very therapeutic during her grieving period to be able to compose and express her pain through music. She takes us on a journey through many experiences in her personal life growing up on the streets of Chicago.
Hannah is very hands on when it comes to her product: producing five out of nine songs on her project to directing all of her own videos. Hannah states, "Staying true to yourself is the best way to go, because that’s what makes an individual relatable". Keep your eyes out for the music video for her song, “Your all I need” at the end of the year!
