To be straightforward, at one point of my life I could care less about the production aspect of Hip-Hop. Don't shoot the messenger, blame my environment. Growing up in the desert, there weren't studios or anyone really trying to make music, so I just listened to the lyrics dump dump dumpin' out of my headphones. It was all about Eminem at one point of my life, & to be honest, who doesn't get caught up in his bars trying to catch every word? I didn't know much about Timbaland, I didn't know much about Pharrell, I didn't know much about Dilla. It wasn't until I met this guy here, Curtiss King, that I appreciated producers in the right light. Once I started catching Curtiss King's West Coast sound mixed with perfected drums, I instantaneously looked into the producers of my favorite songs. Google was my best friend for awhile because I dove into producers background & upbringing. Something about searching for Curt's name in the parenthesis (Produced by: Curtiss King) while the song moved across my music library gave me a sense of pride. Curtiss King opened up this new world in Hip-Hop for me & with his new beat tape, "Creatine", he hopes to open a new world in fitness for you. With the mindset of, "Working Hard" in his past, Curtiss places, "Working Smart" in his future. Teaming up with Alpha Pup Records, Curtiss King's beat tape, "Creatine" motivationally speaks to you while you work out. Take a natural approach to working out, & listen to this beat tape as a means of pre-workout. Keep an eye out for "Venice Beach" & "Skinny Dip" which are co-produced by Oh Gosh Leotus & "Cool Down" Interlude co-produced by OSYM.
Here is a clip from Curtiss King's Instagram which is a look into what is offered on the beat tape, or you can listen to the entire single, "Flexible Minds" by clicking on the red button below.
